Artist In residence
Though privately owned, the Herdsman House and Suite Below the Studio which accommodate up to 6 people, is a social enterprise with a mission to accommodate the needs of individuals, small group residencies/workshops and small-scale arts organizations. This includes writers, musicians/composers, visual and textile artists, filmmakers, theatre, and more. We honour grants awarded through MAC and Canada Council and work to make your stay affordable for those on a limited budget. Arrangements can be made to share Margruite’s studio, a piano, and a seasonal 140 seat concert venue in the loft of the Krahn Barn. Please inquire for group packages.
Neubergthal offers two other guest houses (The Morning Dove, Red Granary), and the Commons Barn and Bergthal School house for year round meeting and rehearsal space.
Coming spring 2026: the Coop Studio will include shared studio space and extra accommodations.
